Hotel Booked!

I've now got my hotel booked in Frankfurt. I'll be staying at...wait for it...the Villa Orange!

(I couldn't resist the name. Plus, it's got good reviews and it's close to the concert venue.)

That's all the main details of the trip booked. Woo hoo!

I've flown through Frankfurt a few times, but have never spent any time there. I'll have all Saturday and Sunday before the show, so I'm totally planning on exploring the city a bit.

I liked the city when I visited it, but that was some years ago. (I'm at the north of Germany)

Bonkers trips are the best. The cool thing is everybody I've told, even the mundanes, has been really chuffed for me. (Told my assistant soccer coach last night, and she was all "that's amazing!") They think it's a bit bonkers, but are all really encouraging. *g*

I still need to sort out the hotel for London - with 4 people coming there from 4 different countries and staying for different amounts of time, that proves to be a little difficult, lol.

Booking hotels in London is hard enough without 4 people coming all at different times. But it will totally be worth the effort. Good luck!

This week I have sorted everything out too; got ok from work for an extra day off so flights and hotel are now booked! I found a hotel which is quite close to both the train station and the venue. There are no flights to Sheffield so I will fly to Manchester and then go by train to Sheffield. The only thing I need to worry about now is the tickets to arrive in time!

I dare not think of the cost for this trip, but I know that I would forever regret it if I didn't take this chance now when I have the opportunity to go.

Groovy that you've got everything sorted as well. Hope the travel goes well, and I'm sure you'll get the tickets in time. (soundofthesurf got ours over a week ago.) You'll have to let us know how it goes.

I'd definitely regret it if I didn't take this chance to see Mark now. Who knows when he'll do more solo stuff. I'm just not going to think about the cost. Except maybe the 27 Euros for the ticket. *g*

Yeah, it feels good that everything is sorted now, and I'm not too worried yet about the tickets :) I will travel with my mother but I'm probably going alone to the gig because it's all standing at this venue and she is not really up for that. I would have preferred seated tickets too, but what to do ;)

It feels as if the ticket was almost for free! *g*
