Well, it's time for my annual re-visiting of this meme:
List your ten fics at AO3 that have had the most hits.
1. In the Bleak Midwinter
Pros My 2011 Pros Big Bang story, and the last entry (so far) in the Comfort and Joy series. Was #2 last year.
2. Firsts
Pros A series of vignettes of firsts in Bodie and Doyle's lives, and one of the hardest stories I've ever written. Had been #1 for two years in a row
3. Exile
Pros My lonely Pros novel, and the absolute hardest thing I've ever written. (It took eight years to finish, give or take.) Newly posted last year, it was #6.
4. Nothing Worth Having
Sherlock Holmes, RDJ Movie-verse The little story that keeps going, it's a Holmes/Watson/Mary OT3, and was #5 last year. I've half a mind to write a sequel to it some day.
5. Happy Endings
Pros Young mercenary Bodie meets young copper Doyle. Was # 3 last year.
6. Down a Dark Desert Highway
A Knight's Tale, Hotel California Possibly my favourite crossover, written for Yuletide. Down from #4 last year.
7. Pretty Little Liars
Take That My entry for last year's first annual Take That Big Bang, and new to the list.
8. An Open Book
Sherlock Holmes, RDJ Movie-verse Holding steady at #8, same as last year. It's a solid story, but I've got to figure it's getting hits mainly from people who've read Nothing Worth Having and want more Holmes.
9. Babylon is Fallen
Pros, Zombies My 2010 Pros Big Bang entry, Pros meets the 28 Days Later zombies. Not on the list last year.
10. 'Til We Have Built Jerusalem
Pros, Take That, Zombies The sequel to Babylon with added Take That, and last year's Pros Big Bang story. I'm chuffed this crazy crossover has any readers at all, and extra chuffed it's made the list.

Date: 2013-05-17 03:51 pm (UTC)I don't know that the results surprise me--well, An Open Book being there does, because I think it's an okay but not terribly special story--because I try to approach this with no expectations. But it is interesting to see what gets the hits and what doesn't. And I have to admit to cheering on my TT stories. It's such a micro fandom that it's a kick when one of them cracks the top ten.
