I wrote one story for Yuletide this year.

The Case of the Visiting Spies (4074 words) by PR Zed
Fandom: A Study in Emerald - Neil Gaiman, Wild Wild West (TV)
Rating: Not Rated
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Sebastian Moran/James Moriarty, Artemus Gordon/James West
Additional Tags: Crossover
Summary: The New Worlders were not what I expected of God Killers.

I always hope to manage a fun crossover for Yuletide, and when I matched on a recipient who asked for both A Study in Emerald and Wild Wild West, I couldn't resist merging the two worlds.

Besides the Yuletide story, I wrote 11 other stories, mostly TT (yeah, that's not a surprise), with a couple of Pros and one Tennis RPF to round things out.

Stolen Kisses (3758 words)
Fandom: Take That
Pairings: Mark Owen/Robbie Williams, Howard Donald/Jason Orange
Written for the 2012 takethatslash Secret Santa gift exchange.

Where the Music Takes You (3465 words) co-written with soundofthesurf
Fandom: Take That
Pairing: Gary Barlow/Mark Owen
I've been in fandom over 20 years now (yikes!) and this is the very first story I've ever collaborated on. In spite of stressful circumstances--it was written in 24 hours as a very last minute pinch hit for the 2012 takethatslash Secret Santa--it was a pleasure working with [livejournal.com profile] soundofthesurf. I hope some day we can do it again just for the fun of it.

If Love is a Game (2353 words)
Fandom: Take That
Pairing: Howard Donald/Jason Orange
A [community profile] trope_bingo story for the game night trope. The best thing about this story was [livejournal.com profile] milfiepumpkin unexpectedly drawing a lovely illo for the story. (The illo is embedded in the story.)

The Other Side (20210 words)
Fandom: Take That
Pairing: Mark Owen/Robbie Williams
Additional Tags: Genderswap
Another [community profile] trope_bingo story, and the first of two genderswap stories I wrote this year. (Oh, TT fandom, what have you done to me?)

Friendly Fire (1726 words)
Fandom: Take That
Relationships: Howard Donald/Jason Orange
Another [community profile] trope_bingo story, for the handcuffed together trope. That's all I'm gonna say about this one.

This Charming Man (1305 words)
Fandom: The Professionals
Pairing: William Bodie/Ray Doyle
Pros! Another [community profile] trope_bingo one, for the rivals to lovers trope.

All We Have (14476 words)
Fandom: Take That
Pairing: Howard Donald/Jason Orange
For the [community profile] trope_bingo au: cop/detective trope. I've got a second story in this universe on the go.

Eye of the Storm (1497 words)
Fandom: Take That, Tennis RPF
Characters: Jason Orange, Andy Murray
A little birthday gift for [livejournal.com profile] halotolerant. It was surprisingly easy to get Jason talking to Andy Murray.

Live 'Til You Die (3041 words)
Fandom: The Professionals
Pairing: William Bodie/Ray Doyle
The second Pros story I wrote last year. For the [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo sacrifice square.

Another Life (2431 words)
Fandom: Take That
Pairing: Howard Donald/Jason Orange
Additional Tags: Alternate Universe - Canon Divergence
A second entry for the [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo sacrifice square, and another universe I've got further plans for.

Could It Be Magic (32925 words)
Fandom: Take That
Pairing: Howard Donald/Jason Orange, Mark Owen/Robbie Williams
My story for this year's [livejournal.com profile] takethatslash Reverse Big Bang Challenge, inspired by [livejournal.com profile] mad_lemming_89's fab art. This was my second genderswap story for the year, and as a bonus, it also counts for the [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo surprise sex swap square.

Total word count for the year: 91,261

That's a bit down from last year's crazy 108,026, but still pretty much way more than usual for me. I'm still crediting the inspirational qualities of the Take That boys. *g*

I also managed one vid this year, Heaven's Falling, for the [livejournal.com profile] takethatslash Reverse Big Bang Challenge. It's moody Willowen, and I was a bit pleased I got at least one vid done. (Fingers crossed I can manage another one or two this year.)

I'm a bit sad that didn't make a line for [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo during before the deadline. I've got tons of ideas for pretty much the whole card, so I'll have to see what I can do in the amnesty period.

I heard Gaiman read A Study in Emerald at WorldCon before the story was published, and it blew me away. Merging Holmes and the Cthulu mythos makes an odd sort of sense, and the reveal at the end about who the protagonists really are is a brilliant twist. It was fun trying to match that sort of Victorian voice. (I think I need to write more Holmes again, with or without Cthulu.)
