Take That has announced the dates for their tour next year. And the dates are mostly terrible for us.
Not only is Ros still in school for all the dates, but they also coincide with her ice show and its final rehearsals and the standardized testing all kids in her grade are expected to do.
I'd been hoping against hope for end of July dates so we could do a two week family vacation and hit the Camp Bestival music festival and also the Isle of Wight and Brighton.
The choices are now do one week in June and hit one of the last London dates, or I do a TT show or two sans famille and we still do the two week family vacation in England at the end of July.
Rats.

Date: 2014-11-11 06:11 am (UTC)Happened more than once that we bought tickets for what was supposed to be opening night and then suddenly opening night was two days earlier :/ Probably not gonna try that again this time.

Date: 2014-11-11 10:36 am (UTC)That's annoying about opening night. I wouldn't even try to do that. I'm currently wondering how best to avoid DVD night if we're seeing them in London, since the assumption seems to be that's where they'll film. As cool as it would be to have a recording of the actual show I'd been at, I'd also rather not see them with cameras flying all around.
They just gave me a heart attack on the pre-sale code. I just got up at 5:00 a.m. our time for my Taekwando class and didn't yet have a code, when they'd said it would be mailed by 4:00 a.m. our time. But it popped into my mail box twenty minutes later.

Date: 2014-11-11 08:01 pm (UTC)There is definitely something to be said for having your show on DVD. (I'm jealous of you having seen the Circus live. Oh, for a time machine...)
If the dates work out, it would be lovely to meet up for coffee. Our husbands can commiserate. *g*
I'm glad my code wasn't the only one that was late. I reckoned it was because I have a last name that starts with ZV. I'm always at the end, unless there's a ZY.

Date: 2014-11-12 05:51 am (UTC)Thankfully my husband loves the UK as much as I do so I think he'll survive a couple of hours of my fangirling, he's used to it anyway :)
My surname starts with an L so it can't have been that... But the whole code thing is just weird, some people never got their codes and others got five, even though they'd only preordered the album once...

Date: 2014-11-12 08:52 am (UTC)My husband loves the UK too, and he's mostly a good sport about TT. Mostly. *g*
Given the problems with the codes, I'm just going to be grateful that I got mine! I usually have horrible luck, so if things are going to muck up, I usually reckon I'm going to be on the receiving end.

Date: 2014-11-12 09:56 am (UTC)This was just a bit stressful, though at least I wasn't stuck in an online queue for four hours, like when I was trying for the Benedict Cumberbatch Hamlet tickets. I shall give thanks for that.
