We have floor!
May. 13th, 2004 11:37 pmThe hardwood guy and gal finished up yesterday, and we now have lovely hardwood on our main floor. So, that's done, though there's still the sawdust that's evaded both the vacuum and the Swiffer.
Next step: paint. We've got to come up with colours for the living room and dining room that match our furniture and floor and art and mattes for the art. Both the S.O. and I like bold colours, but we're both picky and like slightly different colours. This would be the reason that after nearly five years in the house, we haven't painted a single wall.
However, we now have a plan. A garnet red for two walls in the living room; a sage green for the other walls, including the one that goes into the dining room; a slate/royal blue for the rest of the dining room/kitchen.
I'm off tomorrow to buy the paint, and then we get to find out if we were just smoking the bad crack when we picked these colours.
(None of this is even remotely fannish, I know, but it does explain why I haven't had time to read, comment or do any other remotely fannish things. Well, except the UNCLE vid is pretty much ready for MediaWest.)
