New Fic on rugbytackle
Apr. 26th, 2003 01:09 amI think I gain points in the obscure fandom sweepstakes for this one.
The Rake's Descent slashes Robert Lovelace from Clarissa (as played by Sean Bean) with Lucifer from The Prophecy (as played by Viggo Mortensen).
Much nastiness ensues, so consider yourself forewarned.

True, he does. And the shallow side of me was a bit swayed by the pretty factor, I'm ashamed to admit. He was definitely an effective baddie. I was just surprised to find myself thinking, "Aw, poor Lovelace," and was doubly impressed by your story because of it. Thanks for posting it!

Date: 2003-04-26 09:48 pm (UTC)Talented Thespian was the first WWW I ever wrote, at the urging of Marian Kelly. I have to admit that Terrible Doubt is my personal favourite. The research for it was fun and I adore writing a younger Jim.
It's always nice to see favorite authors from one fandom appear in another, particularly when their handling of the characters is as capable as yours is.
Thank you kindly!

I never underestimate the pretty factor. ;) And I have to admit I have a sneaking fondness for the bad boys. Until they cross a line, that is, and Lovelace definitely crosses that line.
