Film Fun

We saw Stage Beauty at one of our fave rep houses last night. It's about the last male actor who performed female roles in Restoration England, and it's quite good. Occasionally cartoony, but with some very powerful moments.

On the way home, along with discussing the exploration of gender roles in the film, we had this exchange:

Don: Do you know what was hot?
Me: What?
Don: When Billy Crudup and Ben Chaplin kissed. That was hot.
Me: **smiles**
Don: I'd do Ben Chaplin.

Yep, I definitely married the right guy.

I saw this on TV over the Christmas. Enjoyed it a lot... thought Rupert Everett as Charles II was excellent.

I thought Rupert was a wee bit OTT, but enjoyable for all that. (I loved him a surprising amount in the Holmes thing, for all that they played up the drug angle.) Billy Crudup was what made it for me, but then I adore him in just about anything.
