The Sweetie Strikes Again
Nov. 19th, 2005 09:45 pmConversation conducted whilst making tonight's dinner:
Me: Ray Doyle is sex on a stick.
Sweetie: But whose stick is he sex on?
Me: Bodie's...You're a bad man.
Sweetie: Heh.
Me: I can't decide if this is a good mental image or a bad mental image that you've stuck in my head.
Sweetie: A good one, obviously.
Me: You're a very bad man.
Sweetie: Just call me captain of the innuendo squad.

Date: 2005-11-22 06:07 am (UTC)Bodie and Doyle are members of CI5, an elite anti-terrorist squad with members drawn from across the British services. Doyle is an ex-copper; Bodie is ex-SAS. They've got a broad brief and extraordinary powers, including the right to search without warrant. (If CI5 were a real organization, I'd hate it with a passion, actually. As fiction, I find it fascinating.)
CI5 is run by George Cowley, who's a great character on his own. He's played by Gordon Jackson, a Scottish actor I adore. You'd probably know him from Upstairs, Downstairs; he played the butler, Hudson. And he was in The Great Escape.
