Here's a few pics from our London expedition. They're behind a cut to protect the guilty.

Since we didn't get to meet the real Martin, we settled for this poster out front.

Like all good Pros fangirls, I had to seek out the pavings stones in front of Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank where Bodie stood.

Bodie:

Me:

(Why couldn't I have Martin Shaw standing behind me is what I want to know?)

We made the pilgrimmage to the pub where the lads hang out in Fall Girl.

Shay in front of the Scarsdale Tavern.

Justacat, Shay and me, after enjoying a lovely, pubby lunch. (Steak and ale pie. Yum.)

Justacat and me sitting on the patio

In a non-Pros related event, we had a lovely cream tea at the hotel. Mmmm, scones. And why is British tea so much better than anything you can get in Canada?

Squeeee! *So* cool to see a picture of you all! LOL - You look just like your 'doll' icon! :)))

I have one real regret - That I didn't get to Scarsdale Tavern. It was on my high priority list and it just didn't work in to the week in the end. I wish I had done my pros-site homework before I went... There were a lot of places I might have gone if I thought about it. But just as well I didn't have a list - there wouldn't have been enough time in the end to fit it all in.

What an awesome poster at the theater! LARGER than life. ;-)

I put the stripey tights on my icon for a reason. *g*

You can never do every place you want to, but I'd highly recommend the Scarsdale for your next trip over.

The teeny little tree in the picture with Bodie has grown so tall. Yikes, it has been a while.

Love the tea pictures - and yes I agree - I got better tea at the train station than I do at some swanky US hotels.

That tree really shows how long it's been. Scary.

I think it's time I made more scones. (Though the hotel's were better than mine. And I make *good* scones.)

What lovely photos! I too am fascinated by the tree. :-) Nice to know what you all look like and thanks for posting them. Tea. Well my own opinion is that it's to do with the water not being boiled as it should be in the US. Invariably the water was heated in the microwave and it's not the same. Not been to Canada so can't say if it's the same there.

We know how to brew tea in Canada (boil the water, warm up the pot, add the milk first, etc; comes with being a former colony, I suppose) but your actual tea is just way better than ours. Even the garden variety stuff is awesome in comparison.

Love your icon, BTW, though it makes me all sad.

Wow! That tree is big--and where's Doyle, asleep on the job when he should be standing there? The poster pic is perfect, and the cream tea looks fab. Thanks for posting the pictures. They're lovely.

I think Martin should have donned the tight jeans and posed with us. That's reasonable, yeah?

From: [identity profile] faramir-boromir.livejournal.com
What, the tights in AMfAS weren't tight enough for ya?

From: [identity profile] przed.livejournal.com
The tights were good. As far as they went. But certain, ahem, relevant bits were hidden by the rest of his costume. (Such thoughts, of course, did not go through my mind at all during the performance. Well, not much.)
