Originally, I didn't think I'd be able to attend MediaWest this year due to a little change in real life that some of you know something about. But that's all taking longer than originally thought. The delay is disappointing, but a fringe benefit is that I now get to go to MediaWest. Yay!

I just registered and used PayPal, so I'm good to go. Let the countdown begin.

Not that I know of. I'm sorta taking the year off myself. I'll do my writing seminars but as for everything else, I'll just be sitting in the audience.

I think the deadline is coming up so you might have to hurry if you're thinking of doing it.

I can't submit one myself (lord knows how long they'll take to actually send me a membership number) but if I think of one I'll get Marian to submit it. Or you!

Mind you, I ran dry on panel ideas a year or two ago. I'm definitely up for sitting on a few, though.

As for the delay in getting your number, seems to be epidemic. Meris is also having problems.

Yeah, sounds like your year has been, um, challenging.

I literally just registered this morning for MW, so I don't have any cause for complaints yet, but there seems to be more than a few people who haven't heard back from them. (If only I'd been pessimistic/optimistic enough to do pre-reg at the con last year.)

Cool. I know the delay sucks, but I guess you guys can make the most of your "freedom" while it lasts.

Any interest in going to Ad Astra at the end of March? I was looking forward to some of the guest of honours but they have all cancelled in recent weeks. I'll probably still go.

I keep meaning to ask you about Ad Astra. Now that the two Rays have cancelled, I have no interest in any of the GoHs, but there's always panels I'm interested in.

Congratulations! I've heard it's a great con. I wanted to go this year but every extra cent I can get my hands on is going toward my Shoreleave/Closet Con trip. But maybe 2007!

MW is great mostly for the people. There are a ton of UNCLE fans who go every year, and are great fun to hang out with.

The delay is not entirely a bad thing. More time to prepare and do fannish things and all. But yeah, it'll be good when it all finally happens.

We're both just choosing to focus on enjoying all the adult time we can get. Things'll change soon enough.
