March Madness is upon us, so it's time to pull out the Bucky icon for his annual appearance.

Wisconsin made it again this year, so I guess I'll have to look into getting all the sports channels for the next few weeks. Or at least until they go down.

Go Badgers!

How can this not have come up before? You know I'm in Madison, right? Unfortunately, I could give a rat's ass about football... But I'll chat your ear off about Madison any ole time!

I had no idea! Though I knew you were in the midwest.

I spent 2 years in Madison doing my M.A. in film. It was a hellish program, but I loved the town. And the restaurants. (Pasqual's, followed by Michael's Frozen Custard for desert. Yum.) The one time I went back with my husband he very quickly realized the visit was going to be a tour of my favourite restaurants in the neighbourhood.

These days, I just follow the basketball team--I've always been a basketball fan, makes me a bad Canadian--and even then only if they make it to March Madness.

Ah, basketball! (Didn't read properly.) They are having the boys high school championships this week at the Kohls Center - a couple of blocks from where I work. The streets are clogged with out of towners. Gah! I don't really follow any of the sports/teams. I'm a die hard Cubs fan and watch little else. If they showed rugby or soccer on tv I'd watch it.

I'm a Sukho Thai gal myself... We have so many awesome restaurants here! Did you know that Madison has more restaurants per capita than any other city? (Or so the chamber website claimed at one point.)

Ah, the high school basketball championships. I always used to get carded when that was going on. (I was 27, but apparently looked a lot younger. Always irked me no end.)

I think Sukho Thai was after my time. (I was there from '91 to '93.) But I can totally believe the stats about restaurants. There was always a surfeit of good places to eat. I love the Afghani and Nepalese places on State Street myself.
