I should be working on the final bit (or, as it's looking now, final two bits) of my Pros stagesoflove piece.

I really, really should be working on a WWW zine story that is now really, really late.

So what am I doing instead? A very silly, multi-fandom vid.

And to that end, does anyone know of any good shower scenes? Or shirtless scenes? Or bare butt scenes. I've got a bunch so far, but could use a bunch more. Show and episode title would be nice. And if you've got any ideas for I Spy (which I haven't watched in far too long) or BSG or DS or Hercules or SGA, I'd be ecstatic. (stormheller and tovalentin, I'll be hitting you up for source, I'm sure.)

Just a heads-up: Mary will probably be too modest to mention this, but she just did a Herc vid that used a lot of eye-candy shots (here (http://marycrawford.livejournal.com/126588.html)), and it's gotten pretty wide notice (it's hysterically funny). So some of those shots might be a little too fresh in people's minds.

But definitely pick her brains about Herc for more shots!

Of course I know her vid! And yeah, it's hysterically funny. I'm generally sensitive to what other vidders have done, but if a shot is to perfect (and that water scene is so perfect) I may just have to use it. Since it'll be 1 second amongst a ton of other shots, it shouldn't be that much of an issue.

As you know, my vid source is limited. There's a shower scene with Fraser and RayV sharing a bathroom--Fraser's shaving, Ray's in the shower with a shower cap on, but I'll have to do the research to figure out what ep it's in.

There's an entire ep of SGA where Rodney's soaking wet but it's not a shower scene per se.

And, of course, Jim in the towel in "The Rig" (Lauren made me a DVD of that so I actually have source).

Lately, we've had House and Wilson doing morning grooming things...

If you're straying outside of fandom, there's a hot shower scene in an early Richard Gere movie called Breathless where he and the love interest break the shower stall trying to have sex. Ah, Psycho, Silkwood, Shindler's List, Carnal Knowledge (a young Jack Nicholson jerking off in the shower)...

Other than that, I got nothin.

Naked Hutch in the shower in the pilot! And I mean the full monty. He's in the bg by then, so you need to zoom. Or so I hear. ::innocent:: He's also in the shower in the "crazy Karen Valentine" ep. And the two of them do spend a fair amount of time in teeny towels. There's also the steamroom scene from the pilot, where they're wearing towels and their holsters.

Hercules: there's a scene of him modelling for a statue, wearing nothing but some strategic fruit. And there's an outtake of KS dropping his blanket. Nice ass. I don't know if that's on the DVDs; I'll check. And there's a scene of Iolaus washing in a river, but I can't remember how clothed he is. Probably bare-chested, at least. Oh! Herc and Iolaus in their swimming clouts in The Apple.

Bare-chested Doyle in the wicker bed. The scene where the bad guys are tearing Bodie's shirt up the back, if it works out of its context.

Methos in his boxers. Kirk striding along the ship's corridor, bare-chested and with a towel over his shoulders. Xena and Gabrielle playing "find the soap" in a hot tub. (I don't have source for either of those, though.)

I'll give it some more thought.

I've pulled the S&H stuff from the pilot already, but I forgot about the Karen Valentine ep shower.

Herc with strategic fruit sounds awesome, as does Iolaus washing in a river. And if you can tell me which ST ep it is where Kirk's got the towel around his neck, I'll love ya forever. (I've been wracking my brains and drawing a blank.)

I can't believe I didn't think of QAF! I'm getting terribly jaded.

Anyway--of course I have Methos. And The Bum MacLeod. And Herc. And I think the Kirk ep is Turnabout Intruder, but no source, so can't check. And geeze, I wish I could remember which ep it is where he's holding that thing that looks just like an enormous dildo.

There's another S&H sauna scene in the ep where they're undercover to break up an illegal gambling club. Forget the name, but I'm pretty sure it's S3.

I have the S1 SGA DVD set, and my homemade S2s. I still have the S2 avi's on my 'puter if you want them that way instead. And I have all 4 due South DVD sets. (I'm scaring myself now.)

Anyway, yeah! Tell me when you're coming over, and I'll call Stormy and we can order a giant tray of sushi from Sushi Supreme and look for good clips.

I'm watching Supernatural these days, and we just recently had one of the boys (Sam/Jared Padalecki) coming out of the bathroom with just a towel on his hips...eps is Hell House, I think I can find you a clip if you want it :)

Thanks! That Supernatural clip sounds like just what I need. I don't have any local Supernatural contacts, so if you could find the clip and sling it my way, that'd be awesome. (I generally use .dv, since I'm a Mac person, but I can work with .avi files. They just need to be pretty high quality.)

cool. something to do tomorrow night instead of working late ;) does it have to be a clear shower scene? because there's another scene where the other brother (Dean/Jensen Ackles) takes his shirt off (it's a sewer, so the rest of the scene is quite dark, but he is well lit, with warm tones).

Oh, the Full Monty is a good idea. I've got Firefly covered. Or uncovered as the case may be. And a friend has the Smallville DVDs, if you've got an idea of an episode to look at. (The DVDs are indeed rippable; that's how I get all my source.)

There's more dialogue that precedes the fucking in season 1. There's a greater variety of shots (front, back, overhead) in season 5, but it's a shorter sequence. I'll try to remember where the others are (there are multiple shower sex scenes).

Given my schedule at the moment, that's looking like a retirement project, but it could happen. (It's inevitable that you find a *perfect* shot as soon as you've finished a vid. It's like finding a typo after the story's been published in a zine.)
