Just got an email from the Escapade organizers and both my panel suggestions made the final cut. Yay!
So, those of you going, I'll be a panelist on:
Cops, Spies and Secret Agents
and
Pros: 30 Years and Still Going Strong
I knew the Cops one was doing well in the voting, but the poor Pros panel wasn't so much, so it's a nice surprise that they both made it through.

Date: 2007-02-15 11:18 pm (UTC)Sometimes it seems as though slash fandom is divided into sci fi fans and cop show fans, and I am definitely more into the latter.
And as a recent convert to Pros, I'd be intrigued to hear what people attributed its longevity to.

Date: 2007-02-16 12:26 am (UTC)Pros, though, seems to hold a special place for a lot of people. Much like UNCLE, my other big fandom. There are a lot of mono-fandom fans within it. And even if they leave the fandom, people seem to retain a real affection for it, far more than with some of the newer, brighter, shinier fandoms.
