Adventures in Fannish Parenting

Rosalind loves playing with the rolls from toilet paper. She especially loves putting them on her wrists. Like vambraces. So I started telling her that they were vambraces, determined that she will be the only kid in her preschool class who knows the names of parts of armour.

Tonight, I'm folding laundry and Ros is with the Sweetie getting ready for bed and I hear her shout "Daddy, look at my vambraces!"



I'm so proud.

Next step: teach her about tassets and pauldrons. Not to mention Boromir.

I don't know about Rosalind, but I have learned something new today - vambrace. Thanks.

She is such a little cutie and is learning so much from her proud parents.

I don't know whether Rosalind is very tiny or whether you have different size cardboard inside your toilet rolls. Ours here are about 1 & half inches across and about 4 inches long.

Just doing my best to spread obscure factoids.

Our toilet rolls are the same size. It's just that Ros is very tiny. She has a cousin who is 6 to 9 months older than her, and Ros looks like a teeny elf beside her. Doesn't make her any less tough, though.
