I Crack Me Up
Jun. 18th, 2009 11:37 amI make my living training people how to use all sorts of software applications at a publishing house. Which means I'm always creating training docs. Which is not always the most exciting occupation in the world.
So, in other words, I need to find ways to amuse myself.
Like this:

It is my fondest hope that I'll eventually run across someone who gets the joke. Although since I've been using David Starsky and Ken Hutchinson as examples in one of my other courses for years without anyone saying anything, it's a long shot.

When we were in Grad school the OH had a side job ghost writing computer text books. His boss called him in to his office one day and pointed out that the OH's multiple choice questions at the end of every chapter were riddled with double entendre... the OH hadn't even noticed he was doing it. <--- *looks back at last sentence* *sniggers*

Date: 2009-06-18 05:00 pm (UTC)Back in my grad school days, a friend and I were put in charge of writing the final exam for the public speaking course we were teaching. (Everyone in Communication Arts had to teach public speaking.) He was also a fan and we deliberately riddled it with fannish references. *g*

Date: 2009-06-18 04:38 pm (UTC)And when an updated records system got rolled out last year and the manual used John Sheppard, I met the IT guy who wrote it in the lift and said, So, Stargate Atlantis fan, huh? and he was like, no, I used the name of a friend from my church group. *sigh*

BTW, I've been corresponding with someone else who vidded Dark Knight. She couldn't crack the bloody copy protection either, so she used a dl'd copy. I'm currently on the hunt for one. And I've started laying out the structure of the vid. (Go me!)
