WorldCon Vignette
Aug. 8th, 2009 10:34 pmMy most exciting WorldCon thing today was hearing Ellen Kushner read a brand new Riverside story with Alec and Richard. (More specifically, the story of how Alec became the Duke Tremontaine.) It was funny and lovely and I can't wait for it to be published. Which will be next year, but it will be worth the wait.
Afterward, I fangirled Ms. Kushner--no one else was talking to her! I couldn't help myself--and hopefully managed to maintain a sane and respectful aspect. But I couldn't get that close and not tell her how much her novels have meant to me.

I'm green with envy. What an experience. Lucky girl.
