House O' Pestilence
Oct. 25th, 2009 02:32 pmSo, last weekend I was out from Saturday to Monday with the worst migraine I've had in at least ten years. (I actually went to the doctor and got the serious migraine drugs for it.)
This week, Ros got a truly horrendous cough on Thursday (which is weirdly okay during the day, but gets so bad at night that she's nearly thrown up), and then Friday night the Sweetie developed aches, chills and fever. (103, off and on.)
At the moment, I'm the only well one in the house.
A house, I might add, that looks like a bomb exploded in it. If there was a bomb made up entirely of doll clothes, toys and cat hair, that is.
And this just as I was hoping to watch stuff on the PVR, get some serious work done on the Batman vid, and put more words down on my UNCLE Down the Chimney story. (I got prompts that required plot! And research! And I actually have nearly 2,000 words written.)
Oh yeah, and after years of contemplating it, I signed up for Yuletide.
And also
wrisomifu. A.K.A. Write Something You Miserable Fuck. Because
draycevixen did. And I love the name. And I'll never do NaNoWriMo. And it may actually get me through the UNCLE and Yuletide stories.
::sigh::

Good luck! *Pats shoulder because, you know, hugs and pestilence don't go together very well* *g*

I'm so sorry. Pestilence is never any fun.
Good on you for pushing yourself writing-wise. I'm trying to be the *teensiest* bit conservative this year. The last two years I volunteered for Me & Thee's Secret Santa and also contributed something to the Advent calendar.
This year I'm Secret Santa-ing for SPN. But that's it. Oh, I owe two vids to people and desperately need to update my website, and am about 1/3 of the way through an SPN gen fic.
But other than that, I'm doing nothing. ;-)
So are you going to focus exclusively on UNCLE? Or are you going to mix it up a bit?

Is this a sneak peek of your Down the Chimney plot? You know T.H.R.U.S.H. would be all over it...

Oh, man, I hadn't heard of that--I just now ran over there and begged to be enlisted for a month o' misery. Thanks for the tip!

*pats shoulder back: I wouldn't want to encourage the spread of pestilence. *g*

The writing projects sound good - not sure where you find the time!

Date: 2009-10-26 03:17 am (UTC)Good luck with the SPN fic. If I ever get caught up on things, I'm going to start reading yours and Callisto's Winchester stories.

As for wriso, glad to hear you're on board. Even on crazy days, I reckon I can manage 10 minutes. (Though days like today I begin to wonder. Urgh.)

This from a guy who's going to do NaNoWriMo? (Good luck with that, and I mean that in the most non-sarcastic way.)
