I've just spent the last three nights watching Take That videos on You Tube, poking about Hell Yeah Take That! on Tumblr, reading Take That RPS, and yes, buying the newest Take That album on iTunes.

Also, I've talked a friend into seeing The Eagle on Monday night at the very last theatre in the area still showing it. (Okay, it didn't take much talking into. I might have mentioned there was slash. And said friend might have enthusiastically agreed to go.)

I blame some of you.

And when I say some of you, I mostly mean halotolerant and sineala. And Robbie Williams, of course.

And really, I should say "credit" rather than "blame."

It's only a matter of time. *g* People make jokes about my pimpin' skills but Halo has black belt ones, usually strengthened further by being able to offer excellent ficcage in whatever fandom she is attempting to pimp to you.

Yes, she had me reading TGS for a while, well, hers at least, but I'm holding strong against the Take That brainwashing. *juts jaw and builds barricade*

Her ficcage is what did me in, really. She has this post-apocalyptic h/c story that I cannot get out of my head, in which everyone looks after Mark. It is epic! (Mind you, you've got some good ficcage going there yourself.)

I have to admit to reading the occasional TGS story, but mostly the show is enough slash for me. (I have to say, I've already noted the resemblance between Richard Hammond on TG and Mark Owen in TT, and my weakness for the type is kind of frightening.)

See, I love the TG lads, so it was pretty easy to get me to read her fic. Hell, I even read her TGS OT3 AU involving vampires... Yeah. I *still* think she paid the cabana boys to slip something in to my margaritas, I mean RPS, AU and OT3? Me?

Of course now I'm trying to think of who else fits that mould...

I have to admit, facial hair!Howard makes my knees go weak. And Robbie and his smirky smirks was my entry drug to this insanity, so I have to love him. He is a lovely naughty messy sad boy, but I have to love him. (I saw him in a small club in Toronto yonks ago, the only time he toured North America, and he was brilliant live.)

As for the Brits performance, it's sitting on our PVR and is what really kicked this off. I've already watched it a bunch of times, and will probably watch it a bunch more before I delete it. (That bloody song has had me earwormed for dayyyyssssss.)

Take That were the Backstreet Boys of England back in the day, but I completely love their new stuff. And if you like this, you might want to give Robbie Williams' solo stuff a try too.

I'd never heard of TT until we saw Robbie at Glastonbury in '98. And then I completely discounted them until the Robbie reunion. Now I'm completely in the throes of the honeymoon stage of loving them.

If I had a relative working with them, I'm sure I'd do something embarrassing. *g*

I mostly heard Robbie at Glastonbury (we had no idea who he was and had taken a break in our tent, but our tent overlooked the main stage so we could hear the show and we did catch his last few songs, which then made me annoyed I hadn't seen his whole set) but it got me into him. As a consolation, I saw him later that year in Toronto, in a small theatre. Which was awesome.

And Howard is rather awesome too. (Howard is like a buff, athletic version of the Sweetie, so he was a pretty easy sell for me.)

I am doubly happy because of course your seeing of the Take That manlove-related light and joy is very pleasing, and because I am a huge fan of 'Eagle of the Ninth' (out here March 25th) and relieved to hear that the movie has kept the slash in (not, mind you, that you would be left with much story if you took the slash out, but Hollywood made Achilles straight so whatever, I worried! *g*)

Just got back from seeing The Eagle. The slash is most definitely still there. Yowza.

The clips are awesome. (Sadly the Sure video is blocked in Canada. Shall have to find a way around that.) Love the ITV advert with Mark goosing Gary, the cheeky chappy.

BTW, I've now earwormed the Sweetie with Kidz. He is, shall we say, irked. *veg*

Most of the YT vids have played fine. But every once in a while bloody Vevo blocks them in Canada. (I'm buying the bloody albums. At least let me watch the videos. Grrrr.)

That Royal Variety vid is going straight into my favourites. SOS and The Flood. Awesome. If not quite as much Robbie/Mark interaction as I was hoping. ;-)

Oooh, just found a copy of Sure that would play. The song does nothing for me, and the outfits they're wearing in the dancing part are just goofy, but the intro with them pottering about the flat is brilliant! And yes, I want Mark to be my barefoot domestic skivvy. Robbie arriving and calling for his "Markie" just slays me.

The song is no great shakes (although, fact fans, it is the one song from the first time round in which Robbie got a writing credit - he and Mark wrote the bit in the middle with all the rhyming and share credit with Gary. Howard is credited on one or two songs on the early albums too, but no singles)

But yes, the whole point is the intro! *g* I love that Mark is basically doing the cooking/cleaning/childcare/problem solving/getting bitched at by everyone (sub? him? much? *g*) and Robbie's entire performance makes me giggle every time. (although srsly who the heck goes 'I know, I'll leave my six year old daughter with my five single male friends on the night they plan to hold a massive rave in their flat'? - I may have once begun writing fic about this...)

That is utterly brilliant. And yep, totally sets him up to sub forever. Robbie is just being Robbie, which is to say an awesome cheeky chappy. (Ya know, as much as I'm loving him being back in the band, I do miss the looser performing style he has when he's solo. The TT live performances are so choreographed, which is a lot of fun, but it lacks the spontaneity of Robbie's best solo stuff.)

Apparently someone who was dazzled by Mark's domesticity. *g* That scenario would make a fun fic. And I love that the little girl basically ran rings about Mark. She's sooo like my daughter. (Ros would terrify the lot of them, I think.)
