Just got back from an afternoon of playing doctor-x-rays-doctor-pharmacy.
The official word is...Rosalind has pneumonia. Yikes!
Fortunately it's mild, her energy is still pretty good, and she's on a massive dose of penicillin, so that's good. And her doctor says we can still go on the camping trip we planned for the weekend.
And now I shall do the "working at home" I'd had planned for the afternoon.

Date: 2012-07-12 12:59 am (UTC)If she starts coming down with it nearly every time her allergies flare up or she gets a cold, then you might want to see an allergist to check for unknown allergen triggers or asthma. Uncontrolled asthma / allergies leave the lungs more susceptible to picking up a virus or bacteria when the rest of the immune system is fighting off seasonal allergies or a cold bug.
