Adoption Day 2015

przedAs it turns out, I didn't make it to tonight's Taekwando class. Tomorrow is the anniversary of us adopting Rosalind, so tonight we took ourselves to Mongolian Grill to celebrate.
This is the only picture we managed to get with all of our eyes more or less open.
For comparison, here's a pic of Ros as a toddler. It's hard to believe she was ever that tiny. (For the record, we still have the fuzzy green chair, though it's nearly too small for her now, and she more frequently sits in it tipped on its back and upsidedown.)
We usually get Ros a gift for Adoption Day. This year she gets to pick out her own Birkenstock flip flops, which she has been bugging me about for at least a year. I think we have the only eight-year-old who'd rather have shoes than toys.

I have a sudden desire for a time machine so I can show 2009!Zed just how much TT slash 2015!Zed has written. ::cackles hysterically::

Although I feel (for balance) I should post some of this too:
(I'm sad Jason is gone. But SO GLAD he got one more epic dance sequence. Because, OK, he's not the vocal lead and some of the wonderful things he brought are hard to describe in simple words. But the man can breakdance.)

Date: 2015-04-08 06:42 pm (UTC)I remember the exact moment you sent me the Knebworth clip. I believe my exact comment at the time was "Uh oh." Because it was game over from that point. Mark/Robbie was definitely my pairing of choice at the start, though I seem to have moved firmly over to being a Howard/Jason gal. Speaking of which, HOORAY FOR JASON'S BREAKDANCING SKILLS! (I still miss him. ::sob::)
Hey, Do What You Like is classy! Okay, not it isn't. But its outrageous ludicrousness is one piece of what makes them all so endearing. Not everyone can survive bizarre nakedness combined with jelly in their career. *g*
