Letter Meme
Apr. 29th, 2006 12:30 pmThis is how it works: Comment on this entry and I will give you a letter. Write ten words beginning with that letter in your journal, including an explanation what the word means to you and why, and then pass out letters to those who want to play along.
faramir_boromir gave me the letter B.
1. Boromir. 'Cause he was my favourite character when I first read LotR as a kid, and he still is today. Which leads me to...
2. Bean. Sean Bean. Who so perfectly played Boromir, but who I've also loved since I first saw him in Stormy Monday oh so many years ago.
3. Blake's 7. My first real fannish love, and the show that got me writing fanfic. Including my very first slash story, which will never, ever see the light of day. (The first slash piece I'm willing to acknowledge is another B, The Baltic Affair, an MFU piece.)
4. Baltimore. The setting of two of my very favourite TV shows, Homicide: Life on the Street and The Wire.
5. Bodie. And yes
shayheyred, I know you used him in your meme too, but how can I not include one half of my current favourite slash pairing.
6. Beale. Simon Russell Beale. One of the best living Shakespearean actors, and currently knocking 'em dead on Broadway in Spamalot. Also a fave of
faramir_boromir
7. Boyington. Gregory "Pappy" Boyington, a real life WW II flying ace and the main character in Baa Baa Black Sheep, the show that taught me to love Robert Conrad and the F4U Corsair piston engine fighter plane in equal measure.
8. Brust. Steven Brust, author of the much beloved Vlad Taltos novels, and also the Khaavren Romances, which riff on the musketeer novels of Alexandre Dumas.
9. Bond, James Bond. Because I love Fleming's books and continue to live in hope that they'll finally get the movies right. Favourite Bond book: Casino Royale. Favourite Bond movie: On Her Majesty's Secret Service. No, seriously.
10. Bottom. Because I love boys that top from the bottom. I'm just sayin'.
