Soccer Aid Squee

Last night, just as I was about to crash, I found out that Robbie had (finally) announced on his blog that Mark would be participating in Soccer Aid this May.

I'm going to let scruffy footballer!Mark illustrate my reaction to this news:


Football and Take That, with a side helping of possible Willowen cuddling? I honestly don't think I can bear the awesomeness involved.

I have to say, if the match wasn't happening the weekend after we get back from our Disney vacation, I'd probably already have tickets (even though only lousy ones are left; yes, I checked) and have my flight booked to Manchester. As it is, I'll be making a donation to UNICEF and standing by to torrent the game and watch it ASAP.

Can it be May yet?

When the tickets first went on sale, I had this mad moment of nearly buying a couple on the off chance that Mark got added. I wish I had, though I'm pretty certain the Sweetie is quite relieved I didn't. (If a Mark solo gig turns out to be in the offing, however, rest assured I will be there with bells--and sparkles and glitter--on.)

Willowen cuddling must and shall be inevitable!

I honestly didn't believe he ever would - Mark's seemed to turn down so much for so long, I kind of lost faith. I wish I'd done so then too!!

I figured it was a long shot. Unlike certain members of the band--Mr Barlow, I'm looking at you--he hasn't been one to push himself forward outside of TT. More's the pity.

I reckon the new baby on the way has greatly reduced the chances of a solo Mark tour. But hey, it could still happen. ::crossing fingers::

Hmmm, yes, I suppose the best thing is that Mark's proven he still has the will to get out there, though. I'm loosing a little faith again in the whole solo thing, but the soccer appearance offers a spark of hope ;)

It was nice to have those few days of actual hope that he was really going to do some solo stuff, but that is definitely fading. Still, you're right that the Soccer Aid thing offers some hope that he wants to step into the limelight a bit on his own. Though granted Rob will be there this time. (Here's hoping Jamie and Ben can encourage him to do a little something.)

Oh, and sorry about general quiet. I've a feeling IOU an email, but I'm in a total organization meltdown at the moment, and haven't a clue if I'm coming or going. I'm hoping normality will resume over the next couple of days...*fingers crossed* :D

I'm in about the same shape myself, and it's entirely likely that I'm the one who owes an email. I'm just desperate to get my stupid course assignment done (due tomorrow!) and then survive next week at work while I'm finishing a big project. And then I can concentrate on fannishly fun stuff: Pros and TT and zombies! Not to mention OT3 sexy tiems.
